Helping students build confidence in math
Math can be frustrating when something just isn’t clicking, and no two students walk through my door needing exactly the same thing. Some need help keeping up with what they’re learning right now. Others have gaps that have been building for a while, and some are doing well but need extra support or a challenge.
At Math Mentors, I provide personalized math tutoring that meets students where they are. That may mean working through homework, reviewing a difficult concept, preparing for a test, strengthening foundational skills, or getting a head start on what’s coming next.
With more than 12 years of tutoring experience and seven years as a classroom math teacher, I understand both the math students are expected to learn and the many different ways they may need to learn it.
The goal isn’t just to get through an assignment. It’s to help students understand what they’re doing, strengthen their skills, and become more confident doing it.

There’s a reason I chose the name Math Mentors. Yes, we work on math — but being a mentor means so much more to me.
I get to know the kid beyond the math. I hear about the test they were nervous about, the game they won, the concert coming up, and the things they’re proud of. I genuinely care about my students and love getting to be one of the people in their corner.
Families come to me for math tutoring, but my hope is that their child gains something even bigger along the way — a mentor they trust, someone who believes in them, and a place where they know they belong.
After School Tutoring & Homeschool Support
Math Mentors offers small-group tutoring for students in 4th grade through high school, along with daytime support for homeschool students.
Groups are intentionally kept small—with no more than four students at a time—so I can work individually with each student while creating a relaxed environment where kids can learn alongside one another.
